Urmia is 3000 years old and has been registered in UNESCO as one of the 19 historic cities of Iran. Urmia is located in the northwest of Iran and 20 km from Lake Urmia, on the slopes of the Kuh-e-Sir Daghi and in the Urmia plain.

This city is very popular among foreign tourists, because of its geographical location and its tourist attractions. It was called Rezaiyeh in the past and it has been called Urmia since 1978.

Jameh Mosque

Urmia Lake
