Shah Abbasi Hotel of Isfahan, the Middle East's most beautiful hotel, was built in 1749 in Safavid era by the command of Shah Soltan Hossein Safavi. It was built in Isfahan as a caravansary to provide lodging for passengers and given as a gift to his mother so it was called Shah’s Mother at that time. This glorious palace was renovated in 1957 and in 1966 turned into what it is now. This luxurious and at the same time historical hotel has 231 rooms and suites and apartments that surround the beautiful yard with balconies. In a globalized and franchise-dominated world, the Abbasi hotel is unique. This hotel is all about the atmosphere. There is a cozy traditional garden full of little fountains, brook-lined avenues, amazing flower beds and quince-laden trees where you can forget all your tiredness. For guests wishing to dine out during their stay at the hotel, there are a variety of eateries located close by. An array of emerald greens, jasmine blues, and deep golds inevitably make visitors reach for their cameras as soon as they walk in.

Useful information about Abbasi Hotel in Isfahan

Shah Abbasi Hotel was built at Safavid Dynasty in 1749 as a caravanserai on the orders of Shah Sultan Hussein Safavid.

Shah Sultan gave this caravanserai to his mother as a gift, therefore Abbasi Hotel was called King’s Mother caravanserai in the past. Abbasi caravanserai was rebuilt in 1957 and in 1966 became the current hotel.

This hotel has 231 bedrooms, suits and apartments. Hotel’s bedrooms are located around hotel yard and its turquoise pond and they have terraces and windows facing the hotel yard.

The advantages of this hotel include being located at the center of the city, close to the most of historical attractions in Isfahan, being equipped with the best services and facilities, experiencing historical residence in one of tourist attractions.

We all know that one of the important parts of our travel is the residence where we can rest after visiting nice places. Now I want to tell you just about the half of Isfahan

It is a city full of historical buildings.

We want to travel to the “half the world”. We arrive at Chahar Bagh. An ancient building of brick has attracted our attention. Let’s go to this five-star hotel and take a look at it. Come in!

If Isfahan is “half the world”, then we shall describe this hotel as ‘half the Isfahan” because it is a beautiful historical building with ceiling and mirrored walls and it indicates the originality (authenticity) of Iranian architecture.

The story began when Shah Sultan Hussein Safavid gave orders on building a caravanserai in Safavid style. As far as buildings in Isfahan were built so well in Safavid, this hotel is also left behind from those buildings which were given as present to the Shah Sultan’s mother.

If you choose this five-star hotel as your residence, you should know (consider) that you are walking into a hotel which was a Safavid caravanserai 300 years ago.

After the garden and its nice outlook, we arrive at the lobby. The hotel’s lobby expresses (shows) Iranian architecture. There you can go to the handicrafts shop and buy a souvenir.

From the very beginning, two mirrored tableaus impressed you on the ground floor. Upstairs, plaster surface and mirrored ceiling attract your attention.

Abbasi hotel is one of those hotels that you would not like to leave it and go out. The hotel itself is a historical building that you should enjoy every part of it.

One of the reasons that make Abbasi hotel a five-star hotel is having access to the other historical places such as Si-O-Se-Pol, Hasht Behesht, and the others.

The other facilities of Abbasi hotel include a restaurant, café, traditional restaurant, beauty salon, shopping mall, pool (you should buy a ticket for this item), eye-catching multipurpose halls, it should be noted that each restaurant having special feature is a tourist attraction itself.

For example, you can see noble Safavid and Qajar art in Chehel Sotoun restaurant and also eat traditional food of Isfahan. (so at the same time you feed both your soul and body)

The hotel has 225 bedrooms which are located around an old azure pond and its little garden.

The turquoise dome of Chahar Bagh school has created a beautiful outlook for you.

Abbasi guest-house has nine halls, which of them has a different color and style. The beauty of the paintings and drawings used in the halls is so revealing that you will be impressed by watching them.

Different types of rooms in Abbasi Hotel

The bedrooms can be divided into four types. You should consider that you may not be comfortable in bedrooms on the ground floor because they are exposed to the tourists who are enjoying the garden. Residents of street-side rooms may be annoyed by the lack of double glazing windows. Opening and closing the doors of the rooms are done with smart cards.

1. The simplest rooms of this hotel are standard rooms with all facilities (so be sure about the internet, hairdryer, coffee service and etc.)

2. If you want to enjoy the nice outlook of the garden at night plus the other facilities, choose outlook rooms which have higher quality than standard rooms.

3. The campus rooms in comparison with above rooms, are more luxurious and they have warm and modern layout. If you choose this room, its warm atmosphere will impress you. In this room you will also enjoy the garden view and you will also have all the facilities. Plus, you will rest in a deluxe room.

Suits have more beautiful views compared to the rooms. Campus suits like its rooms have a deluxe and modern layout which makes the old and historical atmosphere of hotel more delightful.

4. If you want to spend time in a space with Qajar era architecture and old and mirrored wall paintings, in a king-like atmosphere, Qajar suits are proper choice.

The last one is Safavid suit, to be honest, if I could stay at Isfahan only for two days, I would spend one and half of my day enjoying the Safavid suit and the rest of it for visiting other places in Isfahan. In Safavid suit, literally you feel that you are staying at Safavid museum rather than a simple suit. Gliding and the paintings of walls and ceiling, wood marble nice atmosphere and old layout of the Safavid Dynasty which are existing in this suit, can keep the heartbeat of every passenger.

Considering all facilities and beauties, its price is reasonable.

The choice of time for traveling there is upon you, because each season has its own beauty.

But usually, it is crowded in spring and summer. It is better to reserve your suite or room a few months earlier. Take your camera when you are visiting each corner (part) of this nice guest-house. There will be unforgettable photos.
